Founding Allentown Motorcycle Club President Killed In Crash With Deer

A 64-year-old man who was killed in a motorcycle crash into a deer in Lehigh County has been identified as the first president of the South Side Motorcycle Club in Allentown, according to his obituary published by Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc.

Frederick R. Brauchle III, of Heidelberg Township, was driving a 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle in the area of 4842 Mountain Road in Washington Township when he crashed into a deer at 5 a.m., as Daily Voice previously reported.

PA State Police were called to the area at 5:50 a.m., Trooper Nathan T. Branosky explained. 

Brauchle was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:50 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1, according to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio. The cause of death is "Blunt Force Trauma" and the manner is "accident", Buglio wrote in his release.

Pennsylvania State Police Bethlehem Station are investigating.

Freddy, as his friends called him, was an Allentown native who worked as a construction foreman for over 30 years, according to his obituary. "He was the first and past president of South Side Motorcycle Club in Allentown," as stated in his obituary.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Pamela; daughter, Jessica L. Brauchle of Germansville; sisters, Joan Romig of New Tripoli, Linda Rex of Germansville; and extended family, as detailed in his obituary.

His services will be held privately.
